Each year around this time, we reflect on the past 12 months and how thankful we are for the opportunity to continue to make a difference in the communities we serve. This year we are fortunate to have welcomed 43 new staff to Wright-Pierce as well as nine engineering student interns. We bid a fond and heartfelt farewell to six retirees, several who spent the greater part of three decades helping to build Wright-Pierce into the company we are today. We were included on the list of ENR’s top-rated engineering firms, named among PSMJ’s Circle of Excellence, and made Trenchless Technology’s 2021 Top 50 Trenchless Engineering Firms list for the first time. We also organized United Way and Engineers Without Borders fundraising campaigns, donating a combined $60k across our geographic areas, as well as targeted donations for charities that are close to our hearts.

Although we remain in a global pandemic, we still recognize how fortunate we are. This year our government showed renewed focus on the importance of our country’s infrastructure with passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This includes the understanding of how sound and sustainable water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure impacts the quality of life and prosperity of our communities.

Wright-Pierce remains committed to helping communities evaluate and implement important infrastructure projects, and we clearly understand that the work we do now will provide a positive impact on future generations. This coming year, we are fortunate to be celebrating our 75th anniversary, a milestone we could not have reached without the support of the communities we serve. Thank you for being part of our journey. We also could not reach this milestone without the support of every member of the Wright-Pierce team. Wright-Pierce is a legacy company for our employees, that means that each generation of leaders is committed to passing along a vibrant and successful company to the next generation.

All of us at Wright-Pierce wish you and yours the very best in the year ahead.
