MWWA Education Seminar – Understanding and Treating Iron & Manganese

Join the MWWA for a half day class that will review the chemistry and occurrences of iron and manganese and provide an overview of the treatment technologies of media, membrane and biological filtration. Attendees can earn a total of 3.0 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) by attending this educational seminar. Complete the day with a tour of the Acton Water Treatment Plant.

This seminar will include two presentations from Wright-Pierce’s Drinking Water Practice Group Leader, Rich Protasowicki, “Regulations, Occurrence, Health Effects & Chemistry of Iron and Manganese” and “Overview of Treatment Options,” and one from Project Manager, Jim Cray, “Residuals: Handling and Disposal Options.”
