Michael Guethle, PE, a Project Engineer at Wright-Pierce, is the 2018 recipient of the Young Professional Award given by the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) in recognition of his contributions to the water environment industry. Mike received the award at the NEWEA Annual Conference Awards Ceremony held in Boston, MA on January 24th.
“Mike brings a lot of energy and real commitment to all he is involved in, especially the work he does here at Wright-Pierce for our clients,” commented Jan Wiegman, Wright-Pierce Project Manager. “His dedication to helping others and the environment doesn’t stop here at the office. Mike is assisting the Town of Georgetown, Maine in the update of their Comprehensive Plan; chairs the Young Professionals Committee for the Maine Water Environment Association; serves in a leadership role with the Boy Scouts of America; and is involved in the alumni association at his alma mater, Clarkson University.”
The NEWEA Young Professional Award was established in 2009 by the Young Professionals Committee and recognizes the achievements of a young professional engineer, operator or academic student early in their career. Candidates for nomination should have achieved noticeable and recognizable contributions to the water environment industry and/or NEWEA.
