Asset & Data Management Specialist

The Asset and Data Management Specialist works within Wright-Pierce’s Infrastructure Assessment Group (IAG) under the Group Leader. Role requires coordination with field services, funding strategies and services, GIS services, in addition to project engineers and managers supporting asset management related projects for Wright-Pierce clients.
Responsibilities
- Build upon existing approaches to asset management with a strategy to improve and make Wright-Pierce products consistent in the market and in compliance with various states Wright-Pierce does work in.
- Bring Wright-Pierce asset/data management approaches and deliverables up to industry standards and assure maintenance of best practices.
- Lead AM and DM strategies across field services, funding strategies, and GIS by providing routine coordination and outreach.
- Perform engineering data analysis, data manipulation, quality control, and project management support.
- Develop manuals, SOPs, and marketing materials for associated asset/data management processes.
- Mentor and train other staff members to a level of efficiency agreed upon by project teams.
- Identify new or improved processes or tools to aid in asset and data management work; collaborate with Group Leader and GIS Department routinely on any options identified. Includes understanding and identifying the benefits and limitations of different applications.
Essential Functions
- Strong people, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer, communication, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to mentor others and lead project teams.
- Ability to travel; assist with travel preparation and planning.
Experience
- 8 or more years of engineering experience focused on data collection, manipulation, organization and assessment for municipal horizontal and vertical infrastructure systems and asset management.
Certifications/Training
- Engineer-In-Training required, Professional Engineer license preferred
- Fundamentals of GIS certification
- NASSCO’s Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program (PACP) preferred
Certifications preferred but can be provided on-the-job as necessary.
Education
- B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related
