Projects to Bid

Work is to be completed on the town-owned land at Harbor Park, a portion of which is managed by the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve (WNERR) under an easement which is held by the State’s Bureau of Parks and Land (BPL) (Tax Map 131, Lot 1, see Conservation Easement benefiting the State of Maine, Department of Conservation Y.C.R.D. 3819/192). The project area can be accessed from the gravel parking lot at the Town’s gazebo on Harbor Road.

The project involves the construction of approximately 1,215 linear feet of a 5’-0” wide stone dust pathway and construction of a stone dust overlook with dimensions of 12’-0” x 12’-0”. Work is to include clearing, grubbing, selective clearing, base preparation and installation of subbase and trail surface, installation of landscape edging along the trail in some locations, installation of split rail fence, installation of site amenities and signage; installation of landscaping, loaming and seeding, erosion and sedimentation controls and all else incidental to construction. A single Bid Alternate changes the date of Substantial Completion to September 17th, 2018 and changes the date of Final Completion to October 1st, 2018. Pricing for the Bid Alternate (whether additive or deductive) must be included in the submitted Bid.
